$1bn sign of life for XXX reserves

UBS and Credit Agricole will boost the life market in Q2 with deals totalling an estimated $1bn, Trading Risk understands.

UBS is currently structuring a $500mn+ life transaction expected to close in April, according to sources, while Credit Agricole is close to completing two regulatory reserve funding deals worth $500mn. The Regulation XXX and AXXX life reserve deals are expected to close in Q2.

The capital relief provided by the transactions will take the form of structured letters of credit...
