ILS facing soft market pricing pressures

The ILS sector is echoing the traditional (re)insurance market with both rates and terms/conditions coming under pressure, recent research has concluded.
The insurance linked securities (ILS) sector, thought by some to be the antidote to the traditional (re)insurance market cycle, is "merely a reflection" of the underlying market, according to a recent report from Lane Financial LLC, entitled "What Price ILS? - A Work in Progress".
