Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution is as prescient today as it was 150 years ago, and could just as easily have been written to describe the growing pains of the convergence sector as for our species’ growth from amoeba to homo erectus.

As every schoolboy knows, Darwin postured that complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time, mutating as a reaction to their environment to increase their chances of survival.

The convergence sector has survived harsh environments before...
