Halsband leaves Goldman Sachs

Michael Halsband has left Goldman Sachs after spending five years with the bank structuring and executing insurance-linked deals, Trading Risk understands.

Halsband, who has 20 years experience in banking, law and (re)insurance, was a vice president in the FIG Financing Group. He was instrumental in closing a large number of ILS transactions and sidecars during his time at Goldman.

Halsband's next move is unknown. He previously worked at Alea insurance group and Centre Re and is also a lawyer...
