Potter leaves Aon Benfield

Well-known convergence executive Des Potter has left Aon Benfield Securities.

Potter, who was European head of capital markets at the broking firm, is understood to have started his six-month period of gardening leave in mid-April.

He has been with the firm since December 2006, joining Benfield Advisory before its merger with Aon.

Before that, he was the head of insurance at Barclays Capital. It is not yet known what his next move will be.
