Amlin hails Tramline to cat bond market

Lloyd's insurer Amlin is turning to the cat bond market for the first time through its new Tramline Re offering.

Amlin is seeking to raise $75mn from the issuance, according to a presale note from Standard & Poor's, which has given the notes a B- preliminary rating.

Aon Benfield Securities is arranging the deal.

The deal would provide Amlin with three years of reinsurance protection on an annual aggregate basis covering the peak perils of US hurricane, earthquake and European...
