Bermuda Stock Exchange hits $3bn ILS listings

The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) listed more than $3bn of cat bond securities at the end of 2011, up by $1bn in the space of three months.

The $3.373bn of listed ILS capacity represented 25 deals, according to the exchange, which started listing cat bonds in 2008.

The deals include 13 notes issued under four shelf programmes, six stand-alone issuances and two specialist exchange traded fund classes of shares in collateralised reinsurer Catco.
