Cat bond pricing stabilises, but no uptick

Cat bond values have stabilised after a month of decline following the Japanese earthquake, but the market has not yet begun to make inroads on recovering the value it lost.

The Swiss Re global cat bond price return index - which tracks notional cat bond resale values based on Swiss Re pricing indications - was still 3.6 percent behind its opening March value by the end of April.
