Cat bond returns recover

Cat bond returns have quickly regained pace after losing ground in June and July, the Swiss Re Global Cat Bond Return Index shows (see graphic, click to enlarge).

The index finished at 1.401 on 13 August, topping the recovery after a slide that had lasted through the previous six weeks of June and early July, when the index hit a low point of 1.38 on 9 July.
