CEA issues second $150mn quake bond

The California Earthquake Authority (CEA) has launched a sequel to its August debut cat bond, seeking $150mn from the latest Embarcadero Re transaction.

The Embarcadero 2012-1 series of notes were predicted to come to market in early 2012, as the quasi-governmental earthquake insurer announced its intention to issue cat bonds every four-to-six months to build up to $1.5bn of protection in cat bond form.
