Swiss-based Falcon Private Bank is launching a UCITS III cat bond fund, one of the first ILS funds to use the European mutual fund structure, Trading Risk understands.

The UCITS III stamp of approval covers European pooled funds for distribution within the European Union.

Funds can be offered to both institutional and retail investors without purchaser restrictions but must offer investors a high degree of liquidity in order to exit the funds at short notice.
