Broker Guy Carpenter appointed Franck Pinette as chief executive officer of the firm's European life reinsurance operations, effective from 1 December 2010.

Most recently, Pinette was managing director of the worldwide life reinsurance unit at PartnerRe Group - a position that he took up in 1999. He will be based in Paris...
