Hymans Robertson predicts surge of longevity swaps

Pension advisory firm Hymans Robertson says a surge in longevity swaps is likely as a number of pension fund de-risking deals edge closer to completion in the second quarter.

The firm's quarterly report on the pension de-risking market notes that several significant swaps have reached exclusivity stage.

This has helped the risk transfer pipeline reach its fullest level since before credit crisis with several multi-billion pound buy-in deals brewing, the firm reported.
