ILW market tipped for rapid growth

Guy Carpenter tips the industry loss warranty (ILW) market to enjoy the fastest growth among capital markets products over the next three years.

The broker estimated that ILW capacity will grow by 46 percent to reach $7bn by 2014.

It estimated that overall capital market reinsurance capacity for property catastrophe risk would rise by 25 percent over this period, to reach volumes of $37.5bn by 2014.
