A host of diversifying offers have kicked off a rapid start to 2012 for the ILS market, including a renewal of Japanese mutual Zenkyoren's earthquake bond.

Zenkyoren benefited from a $300mn pay-out from its last cat bond Muteki after the Tohoku earthquake in March last year.

Hannover Re is fronting the new $150mn Kibou deal for Zenkyoren, which will be distributed by GC Securities, Trading Risk understands.
