Irene US insured losses $3bn-$6bn says AIR Worldwide

Insured losses from Hurricane Irene's impact in the US will fall in the range of $3bn to $6bn, according to estimates from cat modelling firm AIR Worldwide.

The projection includes the impact of wind and storm surge damage to onshore residential, commercial and industrial properties and their contents, as well as automobiles, additional living expenses (ALE) for residential properties and business interruption for commercial properties.
