Jamaica to extend CCRIF cover

The government of Jamaica will take up rainfall cover under the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) by the end of January next year, according to statements from the Jamaican Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Audley Shaw.

This will add to the country's hurricane and earthquake cover from the catastrophe fund.

The CCRIF has been working to offer rainfall cover since 2009 and the product launch will be welcome news to the Caribbean nations participating in the pool...
