Myrias closes insurance-linked trading platform

Dedicated insurance-linked derivatives broker Myrias LLC has ceased to trade, closing its screen-based trading platform with effect from 22 January, Trading Risk can reveal.

The firm, which was formed in July 2008, has closed the platform due to a lack of market acceptance of its electronic cat bond and industry loss warranty (ILW) pricing aggregator, according to the firm's business development officer, Peter Wasserman.

Wasserman described market feedback on the product as "glowing", but added that the platform only completed...
