Nelson payout heads to mediation as Mariah wiped out

Defunct reinsurer and cat bond sponsor Glacier Re is heading to arbitration after a prolonged dispute with the administrator of the firm's $76.5mn Nelson Re Class G notes.

Glacier has now filed new evidence of loss notification with an independent claims reviewer, according to arbitration documents seen by Trading Risk.

Last year the reviewer was unable to verify Glacier's claims from 2008's Hurricane Ike as it said it did not have enough evidence of whether the losses were covered by...
