Insurance index provider ISO has launched a new casualty index, in a bid to open up a new market for cat bonds.

The new index will provide data for ten segments within the US general liability and commercial auto lines of casualty business.

The covered lines include seven for general liability (owners, landlords and tenants, manufacturers, contractors, products, local products, completed operations and errors and omissions) and three commercial auto lines.
