Hurricane model update
The latest version of the US hurricane risk model from RMS is due to be released next February.

RMS said it was too early to give guidance on the direction of the changes, but provided Trading Risk with comments on the drivers behind the revisions.

The revised model will incorporate investigations from Hurricane Ike claims showing that poor quality construction contributed to damage from winds that buildings should have been able to withstand, particularly for commercial properties...
