Private cat bond trade ends well for secondary buyers

Purchasers of a large chunk of Solidum's $2.67mn Class A private cat bond notes reported a smooth process as the transaction matured in February.

The buyer, who asked to remain anonymous, noted that the settlement on the first private cat bonds to trade went "smoothly", despite saying that having pricing from multiple dealers "would have been better" for price discovery.
