Signum on watch over Goldman’s rating

Ratings agency Fitch has placed the Signum 2010 excess mortality securitisation on negative watch in line with its status on the notes' guarantor Goldman Sachs.

Fitch placed the A+ rated investment bank on negative watch on 13 October, arguing that along with other global trading banks it faced structural problems from a reliance on short-term wholesale funding and increased dependence on trading revenues.
