What factors are shaping the development of the sector currently?
The floods in Thailand were "the straw that broke the camel's back" for the retro market last year after multiple loss events in Australia and New Zealand, plus the massive earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

This delivered a super hard market for the January renewal season, complicated by the fact that Asia Pacific business is particularly exposed to unmodelled perils - we almost specialise in them here in Australia.
