UCITS ILS funds launched

Swiss banks Clariden Leu and Falcon Private Bank have launched UCITS III cat bond funds, hoping to raise $200mn and up to $500mn respectively, Trading Risk can reveal.

The UCITS III stamp of approval covers European pooled funds for distribution within the European Union.

Funds can be offered to both institutional and retail investors without purchaser restrictions, but must offer investors a high degree of liquidity so they can exit the funds at short notice on at least a bi-weekly...
