US wind ILW pricing falls 20 percent

US wind prices on industry loss warranty (ILW) contracts have dropped by as much as 20 percent for certain triggers after the close of the hurricane season, according to broker Aon Benfield Global ReSpecialty.

However, trading is rising as reinsurers start seeking complimentary cover to their traditional retrocession strategy ahead of the New Year renewals, Aon Benfield's Richard Wheeler says.
