Zenkyoren revisits cat bond market with $150mn Kibou

Japanese mutual Zenkyoren is seeking to renew its cat bond cover with a new $150mn Japanese earthquake offering, Trading Risk can reveal.

Hannover Re is fronting the $150mn Kibou deal for Zenkyoren, which will be distributed by GC Securities, Trading Risk understands.

Last year Zenkyoren's $300mn Muteki - which was also a parametric deal - became the first cat bond to make a full payout after the March Tohoku earthquake.

Kibou will be a parametric deal, like Muteki, that triggers...
