Markel Catco's 2020 run-off brings mixed development on 2018 reserves

Markel Catco reported that ordinary shareholders made a 6.3% gain in 2020, although post-2017 class C shareholders took a 1.3% loss as the retro manager continued winding down its listed fund.

The boost for ordinary shares was due to subrogation payouts on the California wildfires this year, which had been recorded in its December result.
