Parts of eastern Georgia, the Carolinas and southeast Virginia are expected to experience severe storms including possible tornadoes on Thursday.

The US National Weather Service (NWS) warned that scattered severe thunderstorms are expected from mid-morning today in the southern states, noting that “all severe hazards” are possible.
