Various partners across the private and charity sectors including ILS managers Plenum, Solidum and Schroders have invested in a catastrophe bond for volcano-related disasters sponsored by the Danish Red Cross.

The bond covers 10 volcanoes across three continents and will provide up to $3mn for aid in the aftermath of an eruption.
