An unknown cedant has sponsored an $18.2mn Asagao III private cat bond, according to Bermuda Stock Exchange listings, as Sompo moved to complete its Sakura Re deal at the tight end of its pricing targets.

The Asagao Re deal, fronted by Aon’s White Rock, was similar in size to the one placed a year ago.
