Cat bond rates-on-line fell by 2.4% in the first quarter, suggesting that a long-running hard market is finally softening, Lane Financial said in its latest ILS report.

The firm’s ILS rate-on-line index is still slightly higher than levels last recorded in late 2019, and almost 40% higher than the pre-Irma troughs of the market in 2016.
