Florida House reworks insurance reform bill ahead of key committee vote

Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee

Florida's House of Representatives will host a key committee hearing on insurance reform bills on Friday 23 April, with final suggested changes adding back some benefits for the industry – although the House proposals remain weaker than reforms proposed by the state’s Senate.

Two parallel reform bills were working their way through the Florida legislature this year – the Senate has passed a wide-ranging bill, Senate Bill 76, while the House is still considering House Bill 305.
