Florida insurance reform bill progresses without contingency risk multiplier fee measures

An insurance reform bill making its way through Florida’s House of Representative cleared its way through the Commerce Committee today, but was stripped of measures designed to restrict the use of legal fee multipliers.

This was a key point on which the industry was hoping to see reform to increase the stability of the Sunshine State’s insurance market.
