Helios scrapes break-even in 2020 because of Covid-19

Lloyd’s capacity vehicle Helios said its 2020 pre-tax profit shrank to £336,000 ($475,585) from £2.43mn in 2019 due to “poor underwriting conditions” and the impact of Covid-19.

The business reported basic earnings per share of 159 pence, down from 2,564 pence in 2019, after a year in which it made five acquisitions for a total of £10mn, increasing its capacity by 31%.
