AM Best has put Florida-based Safepoint Insurance Company’s B- financial strength rating under review with negative implications, citing pressure from its holding company.

The ratings agency said equity erosion and levels of outstanding debt were above the threshold for what the agency considered a neutral level of financial leverage.
