White Rock lists $68mn Asagao IV as Japan private bond more than triples

White Rock Insurance has transacted a 75bn yen ($67mn) private cat bond via a new T87 Asagao IV issuance, which was admitted to the Bermuda Stock Exchange’s (BSX) official list yesterday.

The deal is more than three times bigger than the prior Asagao ILS deals transacted. The Aon service provider raised just $18mn for the Asagao II and III deals in March 2020 and 2021.
