CoreLogic said on Wednesday that Tropical Storm Ida would cost the Northeast between $5bn and $8bn in insured flood losses and between $16bn to $24bn overall when including uninsured totals.

The updated tallies come on top of the $14bn to $19bn industry loss range the analytics firm provided last week after Hurricane Ida crashed ashore in Louisiana before moving inland to the Northeast.
