Hurricane Pamela is expected to strike west-central Mexico near major hurricane strength on Wednesday morning, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has said.

But the storm’s central pressure is currently well above minimum levels needed to trigger a payout under the 2020 World Bank cat bond protecting Mexico.
