Suncorp aggregate XoL deductible eroded by more than 70% after storms

Suncorp has estimated that weather losses in the past three months have eroded the A$650mn deductible on its A$400mn aggregate excess of loss (XoL) treaty by up to A$561mn, or 87%.

The announcement comes after the group estimated its losses from the wind and hail event that struck South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania last week at between A$225mn and A$250mn.
