PartnerRe has said it lifted ceded premium to its Lorenz Re third-party platform more than sixfold to $634mn in 2021, after it set up a new sidecar vehicle last year.

The ceded premium figures were far more modest in the prior two years, at $70mn in 2019 and $81mn in 2020.
