D.E. Shaw claims Verisk has ‘failed to deliver’ for investors

Investment firm D.E. Shaw has written to Verisk’s board laying out a string of concerns about long-term stock underperformance, and calling for the firm to reposition itself as a pure-play insurance data business.

D.E. Shaw advises shareholders in Verisk, which owns insurance brands including modellers AIR and catastrophe data firm PCS, and its letter says it is “seriously concerned about the long-term underperformance” of Verisk’s share price.
