As the ILS market has been diversifying beyond property catastrophe risk in recent years, it will have exposure to Ukraine war losses via specialty reinsurance and retro covers.

But it is still expected to be a very minor source of exposure for the sector, with limited information as yet on how claims could play out amidst the ongoing conflict.
