California Earthquake Authority looks to raise $275mn from Ursa Re II bond

The California Earthquake Authority (CEA) is seeking to raise a total of $275mn from an Ursa Re II cat bond against earthquakes in the state, from a combination of Class A and Class E notes.

The Class A notes have a proposed $150mn limit and are being pitched to investors with a spread range of 425 to 475 basis points (bps), and an expected loss percentage of 1.33%.
