UK railways pension scheme Railpen made a fresh allocation of £292.6mn ($399.8mn) to Nephila Capital in December 2020, increasing the proportion of the total fund invested in ILS by 0.8 points to 2.1%.

The uplift in percentage allocation is unique in the disclosures of the past 12 to 18 months among the cohort of UK pension funds tracked by this publication, with the others all reporting declines in allocations to ILS.
