An update to Tropical Storm Risk’s (TSR) July forecast for North Atlantic hurricane activity has increased the number of hurricanes it expects this year by one, to nine.

It kept the overall 18 named storms in line with the level predicted at the end of May.

The total forecast includes four major hurricanes.
