ILS ESG collaboration needs to pick up pace

ILS collaborations are underway to accelerate progress on some of the thorny ESG challenges asset managers are facing, which should help protect firms against greenwashing fears - but arguably, the industry first needs to jettison the idea that the sector has inherent ESG appeal.

A Zurich ILS working group on ESG released its first draft of proposals to key brokers earlier this month – joining other industry efforts such as the SBAI in coordinating the development of standardised industry practice in this area.
