Bad weather that has affected France since the end of May has resulted in nearly a million claims worth around EUR3.9bn ($3.9bn), according to France Assureurs.

From the end of May until the first weekend of June, bad weather hitting several French regions generated roughly 355,000 claims with a total cost of nearly EUR1.5bn.
