An ongoing spate of wildfires in southern and western Europe have already caused at least EUR3bn ($3bn) in economic damage in the agricultural sector, according to Aon, with hot, dry conditions expected to continue.

In its latest weekly cat report, the broker highlighted above-normal temperatures and lower precipitation than usual worsening drought conditions.
