Axis cat losses rise 135% to $67.1mn in Q2 as fee income dips 24%

Axis recorded lower fee income from its third-party capital relationships in Q2, as its cat losses rose by 135% to reach $67.1mn in Q2 2021.

During Q2 the company announced its exit from reinsurance property and catastrophe lines, completing the shift of Axis Re to a specialist reinsurer, with a focus on casualty, specialty, A&H and credit lines.
